About Us.
Founded in 2012, AlphaKey Club™ is a literacy and arts-based organization dedicated to empowering youth through social-emotional learning, creative expression, and inclusive education. Since its inception, AlphaKey Club™ has partnered with schools and youth organizations in New York City, Florida, and the Dominican Republic, as well as cultural institutions like the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, Barnes & Noble, and the Dream Project.
What sets AlphaKey Club™ apart is its holistic approach—supporting students, families, and communities in understanding and embracing learners of all backgrounds, including neurodivergent students. Central to our mission is the AlphaKey Alphabet, a unique tool designed to encourage empathy, emotional intelligence, and positive self-expression in young people.
AlphaKey Club ™ book workshops and school residencies—available for all grade levels—focus on literacy, mentorship, body/mind self-regulation skills, and self-reflection. Through book discussions, art-making, and movement-based activities, participants build self-esteem and emotional regulation strategies, develop teamwork skills, and explore ways they learn best, all within a safe, inclusive environment that nurtures their identity and voice.
Join us in creating communities where every learner is supported, seen, and celebrated. Together, we can raise a generation of thoughtful, expressive, and empowered changemakers.

AlphaKey Club™ Book Workshop Objectives:

2. To nurture self-expression and self-esteem through literacy, creative arts and movement.
3. Foster a deeper understanding of self and others through the discussion of age-appropriate texts.
4. Encourage or provide a philanthropic experience.

Zoom! Zoom! is a heartwarming story aimed at supporting neurodivergent children, particularly those in early elementary grades.
The book follows the journey of Jordan, a young student, who experiences fast-paced thoughts and a sometimes chaotic mind. Jordan often finds himself/herself impulsively moving, grabbing, or hyper-focusing on certain activities—behaviors that may be challenging in a traditional classroom setting.
Through vibrant storytelling and relatable scenarios, Zoom! Zoom!helps children and adults alike understand the inner workings of a busy mind, while also providing strategies for managing and embracing these differences.
While the story is told from the perspective of a young student, the book is intended to be a resource for teachers, parents of neurodivergent learners, and professionals who work with children, including special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and learning specialists.
Target age group: PreK - 2nd grade
